Together on a mission! A mission to get the Netherlands moving. Everyone will recognize it, we spend too much time at our desks, the screen time warning pops up again and putting the kids in front of a movie is easy while cooking. I was recently on an inspiration day Game plan. It has been shown that sufficient exercise every day makes us become a better version of ourselves, both physically and mentally. Children learn better when they play outside every day. In fact, they learn even better when they learn while playing. This also applies to adults 😉 My own children (3 and 5) have recently started going to private school. Rain or shine, the day starts with playing in the park. The parents sometimes happily join in. That's wonderful!
PumpTracks appear to be a particularly good way to get people moving. And there are many parties and municipalities that share our mission. We develop great sports and playing locations with these parties. Our goal? At least 1 PumpTrack in every municipality.
How do we try to achieve this? And what I am proud of?
- All the great colleagues I have the pleasure of working with, from the office to the construction site. The passion for outdoor play is in their DNA. Each and every one of them is committed to our mission every day. They sometimes seem to have an infinite amount of energy. This means that I receive messages with cool ideas that can contribute to our mission, not only during working hours, but sometimes also during the weekend or in the evening. The atmosphere is great and the team spirit is infectious!
- Collaboration with great partners. We have now realized more than 60 PumpTracks, resulting in countless happy faces. Each job is a unique piece of customization, devised together with the initiators. With the Bibian Mentel Foundation en YALP we have developed the Bibian Mentel Playground. An inclusive playground, where everyone feels at home and can play together.
- More than 10 years ago, we were the first to introduce the Netherlands to the PumpTrack phenomenon. We drove around town and country with a mobile PumpTrack so that we could let as many people as possible enjoy this wonderful way of exercising/playing. And in 2015 we were the first to bring the asphalt PumpTrack to the Benelux. We had to work hard, but there is now plenty of awareness and we receive requests for great new projects every day.
- We support initiators free of charge. And we go quite far with this, because we believe that everyone with a good idea should also receive good help. Processes at a municipality are sometimes complicated and slow, resulting in frustration. We provide support throughout the entire process to turn the dream into a reality and ensure that citizens remain courageous.
- Continuous innovations in the PumpTrack, allowing us to increase the level year after year. From further developments in the design that result in cooler and safer tracks. Until the addition of PumpTrack features. These are beautiful and, above all, unique obstacles with a real WOW factor.
