Paralympic snowboarder Bibian Mentel founded the Bibian Mentel Foundation, with the aim of getting children and young people with a physical challenge moving. Bibian passed away in 2021, but her dream lives on through the work the foundation does. Velosolutions supports the Bibian Mentel Foundation and helps develop and realize Bibian Mentel Playgrounds. These are meeting and playing places where children with and without physical disabilities can play together and we give everyone the opportunity to get the best out of themselves. The Playground is a combination of unique playground equipment, including a Velosolutions asphalt PumpTrack.
The ambition is to realize at least one Bibian Mentel Playground in every province. The first Bibian Mentel Playground was opened in 2022 in Loosdrecht, Bibian's hometown.
