In 2020, the municipality of Den Bosch started the redesign of Sportpark Noord, and entered into discussions with residents and organizations from the neighborhood. The renovation gave the municipality the opportunity to think together with the neighborhood about a broader sporting and social purpose for Sportpark Noord. The Skills Garden is the tangible result. A public, multifunctional sports and exercise place based on the ten basic forms of exercise.
The Skills Garden is a public outdoor sports complex that residents and organizations from the neighborhood and beyond can use at all times. This includes youth work, primary education, sports clubs, neighborhood sports coaches, physiotherapists, boot campers or personal trainers.
Within the Skills Garden we created a compact KidsTrack of 500m2 with curves of 100cm height.
