September 27, 2019 is a big day for the Velosolutions PumpTracks. This is the day that the “Union Cyclist Internationale” (UCI) joins forces with Velosolutions en Red Bull and the sport of Pump Track receives official UCI status. This year the first UCI Pump Track World Champion will be crowned.
Over the past 10 years, Velosolutions has proven to be a leader in the construction of professional asphalt PumpTracks of the highest quality. With more than 200 tracks created, opportunities have been created worldwide for children of all ages and backgrounds to exercise and play in an accessible way. In 2018, Velosolutions embarked on a new adventure together with Red Bull and became the Red Bull Pump Track World Championships launched. From September 27, 2019, Pump Track will be recognized as an official sport and will fall under the mountain bike discipline as one of the eight disciplines of the UCI: road cycling, track cycling, mountain bike, BMX racing, BMX Freestyle, trials, cyclo-cross and indoor .
The first UCI Pump Track World Champion will be crowned on October 19 during the world finals of the Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships, which will take place in the Swiss Bike Park in Köniz-Oberried Switzerland.

Pump Track competitions are a fresh new look at current cycling competitions. Each Velosolutions Pump Track is suitable for competition use, where riders use the bumps, dips, turns and jumps to gain speed and drive around the track as quickly as possible. Competition formats include head-to-head battle and time trial, depending on the track chosen. Besides being spectacular to race as a participant, it is also a great spectator sport.
With more than 25 qualifications worldwide, the Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships is a true search for the world's best Pump Track rider. Qualifying competitions are held in every corner of the world, with the Benelux also on the map. The sport of Pump Track remains very accessible and the qualifications are open to everyone. Local amateur heroes compete against professional Olympic BMX racers and MTB world champions, with everyone having an equal chance at the gold!
The Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships is a catalyst for change in the coming years, also promoting sports in developing countries through #pumpforpeace, an initiative of Velosolutions. The mission is to create a healthier, tolerant and more peaceful world by giving people distanced from modern society access to PumpTracks, cycling and action sports
