Construction of the Urban Sport Park 't Schoot in Eindhoven started in November.
A place where all kinds of urban athletes find their place. Facilities such as freerunning, calisthenics and survival are available or are being realized and of course a PumpTrack from Velosolutions cannot be missed! In the coming period we will keep you informed of the progress regarding the track via this page

The PumpTrack occupies a central place in the park. An asphalt track that can be used with a mountain bike, BMX, skateboard, (stunt) scooter and roller skates. The PumpTrack will be one of the largest in the Netherlands with a maximum height difference of three meters. The final design was created in a design process together with users, local residents and other stakeholders. The shovel will be broken in the first week of December, with final delivery in May 2020.

December 1, 2020:
The last week of November is contractor Dark Group started preparing the site, including the installation of the drainage system. We started our work on November 30th. Until Christmas, 2 teams are working on the shell of the PumpTrack. This means that the track is first plotted using GPS, after which we use excavators to lay the foundation of mixed granulate. This way the first contours of the track become visible.

10 December 2020
We are now a week and a half further, the groundwork has been completed and it appears that the weather will be good for the foreseeable future. There will be no frost on the ground and temperatures will remain in the double digits. This means that we can start working on the asphalt before the Christmas holidays! Applying asphalt requires a lot of time and attention. The asphalt is profiled by hand by our own experts and has a thickness of 8 cm. By profiling it by hand, we prevent stripes from appearing in the asphalt and ensure a neat finish of the asphalt seams.
With this method we can provide an 8-year warranty on our asphalt.

We will start by paving the Jump Line that will be constructed around the PumpTrack. A Jump Line makes it possible not only to pump but also to jump into the air at sufficient speed! Unique for us and the rest of the Netherlands.

23 December 2020
It's almost Christmas and the asphalt paving has been completed. Thanks to the hard work, the asphalt paving of both the Jump Line and PumpTrack was completed in one week. The team consisted of employees from all over Europe. We were supported by 2 employees from Spain and our Belgian colleagues received further training so that they can soon start working in Belgium themselves! Not only hard workers but, above all, fanatical pumpers themselves, the hard work was rewarded with test sessions. Full of praise for this great job!

We will have to wait for good weather in the near future so that we can apply our characteristic red lines.

March 3 2021

Due to the weather and the construction of PumpTracks in the rest of Belgium and the Netherlands, we have been at a standstill in Eindhoven for a while, but good news! Yesterday we applied our characteristic red lines in one day. This is also done by hand. Our red lines are combined with bright blue, to clearly indicate the distinction between the PumpTrack and the Jump Line, but blue also refers to Philips and you will see it everywhere in the Urban Sportpark.

April 7, 2021 Good news!

In addition to the lines, we added the signing a week and a half ago. Of course our logo, but also arrows and wording that indicate the direction of travel of the PumpTrack and Jump Line. Everything to ensure safety on the PumpTrack, so we strongly recommend a helmet with the help of our signing.

In recent months it has already become apparent that the PumpTrack is extremely popular, despite the fact that access to the construction site is still prohibited. To ensure a safe situation for everyone and to continue with the design of the park, the municipality of Eindhoven has decided to open the PumpTrack to a limited extent from April 3. This means that on weekdays from 16 p.m. and all day at weekends, the PumpTrack can be reached via a lock of construction fences. This way, the contractor can work safely during the day and everyone can enjoy the PumpTrack! Of course, always observe the safety regulations.

The Urban Sports Park was completed in its entirety in May 2021!

The Red Bull UCI PumpTrack Qualifier for the BMX World Championship will take place this weekend! It promises to be an exciting battle. Both men and women start with solo runs that are timed, after which the finals are fought head to head. The riders each ride on their own track (the track is mirrored), the first to cross the finish line logically means a victory. It ends with an awards ceremony, the numbers 1 earn a ticket for the World Finals in Portugal!
